Getting to the Festival
By road: Cobargo Village is on the Princes highway, about eight hours’ drive from Melbourne, five hours from Sydney, three hours from Canberra and about one hour twenty minutes from Batemans Bay.
The Cobargo Showground is a kilometre out of Cobargo Village on the Cobargo Bermagui Road.
By bus: Interstate buses from Sydney and Melbourne pass through Cobargo. Premier Motor Service (Tel. 133410)
By air: There are regional airports at Moruya and Merimbula, each about an hour’s drive away. REX (Regional Express) Airlines flies from both Sydney and Melbourne.

At the time of the festival it can be quite hot. It is generally a pleasant mid to high 20’s (degrees C) but can get up to the high 30’s on occasions. It is usually dry but come prepared for rain and the occasional storm.
Other useful info
The village has a pub, petrol station, pharmacy, doctors’ surgery, a newsagency, various food outlets and a range of craft and other shops. Some shops will not be open all weekend. The Cobargo Post Office will be open for extended hours on Saturday. There is an ATM here and at the Cobargo Hotel. There is a general store but no supermarket. The nearest supermarket is in Bermagui.
The Cobargo Folk Festival has a strict NO PETS policy.
Please do not bring dogs or other pets: they are not allowed in the festival site, and we do not have facilities for their care.

Please do not bring alcohol onto the Festival site.
The festival is a licensed event and operates its own bar serving a range of alcoholic drinks. The proceeds help pay for the running costs of the festival.
Drink sensibly! The bar is conducted strictly according to licensing regulations and to RSA principles, i.e. under-aged and intoxicated persons will not be served and no alcohol is to be taken outside licensed areas.
The licensed area is shown on the site map at the back of the program booklet. The licensed area is marked by fencing, bunting and signage, please observe the signs.
