An absolute sensation at our 2024 festival, we are delighted to welcome back Cigány Weaver. What started as a gypsy jazz band has evolved into a variety of soft yearning folk music, cinematic instrumentals, Romani and Balkan energy, and classic swing. Powered by Jo Davie’s soaring vocals, fiery violin, ‘Pompe-ing’ guitars, and driving rhythm section, Cigány Weaver create a purely acoustic group that effortlessly navigates the musical nexus between intimacy and raucousness.
We promise to keep communications minimal and meaningful as we build our festival family.
The Yuin Folk Club acknowledges the Djiringanj people of the Yuin Nation who are the traditional custodians of the land on which the festival is held. We acknowledge the living culture of the Yuin people and their unique role in the life of the region.
Permission to use the name “Yuin” for our club was received through the support of Yuin Elder, Aunty Eileen Morgan (dec), when the Club was established.
