Funky backline. Pulsing dance rhythms. Disco. Plus, original Gaelic song and driving tunes. Dlù are a high-energy five-piece indie trad band from Glasgow, and one of the most respected voices of their generation. Comprising Moilidh NicGriogair, Zach Ronan, Aidan Spiers, Andrew Grossart and Seoras Chlad, the band’s eclectic musical backgrounds fuel their original melodies and arrangements, giving them a sound that is entirely their own. Their name derives from the Gaelic word ‘dlùth’, meaning tight-knit and close, a tribute to the long-lasting friendship between members and to their shared roots at Glasgow Gaelic School.
