Gabrielle Journey Jones is an award-winning performance poet born on sovereign Gadigal Land, Sydney, Australia. She is from Maori and African American bloodlines and has lived in Bega Valley on Yuin Country since 2018. Gabrielle has shared her poetry at local, national and international events for over 25 years. Gabrielle enjoys sharing interactive poetry performances and loves to encourage others to write, create and perform.

The Yuin Folk Club acknowledges the Djiringanj people of the Yuin Nation who are the traditional custodians of the land on which the festival is held. We acknowledge the living culture of the Yuin people and their unique role in the life of the region.
Permission to use the name “Yuin” for our club was received through the support of Yuin Elder, Aunty Eileen Morgan (dec), when the Club was established.
