Formed in the 1990s on Yuin Country, the Gulaga Dancers share the stories, songs and dances of their people, drawing strength from Mother Gulaga, the mountain at the heart of their culture. Founding member Uncle Warren Ngarrae Foster of Wallaga Lake has spent his life telling Yuin stories through song, dance, music and film, and in 2019 brought Yuin people together at the foot of Gulaga for the first Yuin Nation Birriga Bunaan, now an annual healing corroboree. A festival favourite, the Gulaga Dancers have danced in the Healing Circle at the Yuin Elders Tent, where everyone is invited to join in making the circle.
