Luke O’Neill is a Bega Valley based musician who writes ambient guitar music with folk and world music influences. His debut CD and show ‘Wakulpa’ won the Melbourne Fringe Festival award for best music performance, ‘Wakulpa’ features landscape-inspired music written near Yuendumu, in the western desert area of Central Australia. Here Luke worked as a music producer for local Aboriginal rock bands. His later CDs ‘Beltane’ and ‘Brook’ acknowledge his Irish ancestry and were written in the Victorian goldfield area and Ireland respectively. Luke lives on a small farm in Bemboka and works as a music facilitator and educator.
