Martyn Wyndham-Read is recognised as one of the world’s leading exponents of folk song. He has been featured on over 65 albums, including many solo albums, and recorded with A L Lloyd, Martin Carthy, Trevor Lucas, Frankie Armstrong, Iris Bishop and Danny Spooner. He has appeared at the world’s leading folk festivals for over fifty years and says Cobargo as one of his favourites. His repertoire spans English ballads, carols, guitar tunes, his own songs and an extensive collection of Australian folk songs, mostly learned during his time living in Australia in the 1950s and 1960s.
