An interactive, family-friendly dance experience, Maypole with Molly encourages kids and adults alike to weave colourful ribbons around the maypole. Founded in 2009 by Erika Cleaver (Molly), a retired early childhood teacher and accordionist, the group brings playful maypole dancing to festivals across Australia, spreading joy and tradition through movement. Erika’s husband, Philip designed the height adjustable maypole and calls the dances. Several dancers join them to support young kids in learning the dances.
