Tamika Townsend is a proud Ngarigo/Djiringanj woman whose values-based approach, paired with a deep passion and commitment to changemaking, has driven a rewarding career spanning over 15 years in Indigenous policy and community work. Growing up in Bega and now living back on country as a mum of two beautiful girls, Tamika draws strength and inspiration from her cultural roots and family. Her extensive experience includes revitalising language through song through her small business Koori Rose.

The Yuin Folk Club acknowledges the Djiringanj people of the Yuin Nation who are the traditional custodians of the land on which the festival is held. We acknowledge the living culture of the Yuin people and their unique role in the life of the region.
Permission to use the name “Yuin” for our club was received through the support of Yuin Elder, Aunty Eileen Morgan (dec), when the Club was established.
