Jacqui Malins is a performance poet and artist based on Ngunawal and Ngambri land in Canberra. She has created and performed poetry shows ‘Matter of Life’, ‘Con/form’, ‘Words in Flight’ and ‘Cavorting with Time’ at events including Poetry on the Move, the Woodford Festival and National Folk Festival. Jacqui’s first full poetry collection ‘F-Words’ was published in 2021 (Recent Work Press), and she directed and produced the 2023 Poetic City Festival in Canberra.

The Yuin Folk Club acknowledges the Djiringanj people of the Yuin Nation who are the traditional custodians of the land on which the festival is held. We acknowledge the living culture of the Yuin people and their unique role in the life of the region.
Permission to use the name “Yuin” for our club was received through the support of Yuin Elder, Aunty Eileen Morgan (dec), when the Club was established.
