An exciting new band on the South Coast, Hitch Up the Pony features an array of seasoned musicians. Cobargo based, Wendy Jackson and Peter Hisco, are lead vocalists whose close harmonies are renowned. Both have extensive experience leading bands in a range of styles but their shared love of Americana, Bluegrass and Swing music comes to the fore in this current line-up. They are joined by Luciano Bassegio, from Dignam’s Creek, a consummate mandolin player, also on double bass. Bega local, Paul McMurray, provides that essential banjo sound and Alan Leake (Tilba musician around town) adds extra flavour on dobro and any other instrument required.
