Performance poet and artist Jacqui Malins tells the remarkable story of GERT (Gert Bradshaw, 1906-2001) who raised twelve children on a remote property near the industrial boom-and-bust town of Queenstown in Lutruwita/Tasmania. Jacqui has performed at events including the National Poetry Month Gala, the Woodford Festival, National Folk Festival and was an Australian Poetry Slam finalist in 2015. She has published GERT (2025), F-Words (2021) and Cavorting with Time (2018) with Recent Work Press. Based on Ngunnawal country, Canberra, Jacqui has directed and produced poetry events including the 2021 and 2023 Poetic City Festivals.
