Mikelangelo and the Long Lost Friends are based in Braidwood, a town teeming with artists, poets, musicians and myriad creative folks. It’s a group put together by acclaimed crooner/songwriter Mikelangelo, featuring Jake Annetts on bass, Steve Maher on keyboard and guitar, Bruce Rose on guitar and Ben Willson on drums. Together they have worked up a set of new material alongside a bunch of Mikelangelo classics, playing an eclectic mix of roots rock, driving pop and turbo charged Euro folk, all delivered with Mikelangelo’s charm, energy, theatrics and off-the-cuff banter. Mikelangelo is one of Australian music’s true mavericks. He has toured the world as a solo artist and with his long-term group Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentlemen, playing headline shows from the Sydney Opera House to London’s West End.
